Rape culture is a term that encapsulates the many ways survivors are blamed for sexual violence and also the ways sexual violence has been normalized as a part of masculinity – hence, “Locker room talk.” In short and in theological terms, it is a violation of the rules of God AND the God within each of us.
Healing and Wholeness
Suddenly God is in the risen Jesus who has disabilities, with weeping wounds that he expects people to see and touch. It does not mean God enjoys seeing us in pain, nor does it mean he causes it to teach us lessons. And God certainly doesn’t absolve us from striving to be better people –
